About Tastecard

Tastecard (often stylized in lowercase as “tastecard”) is a discount card in the UK and Ireland. Restaurants which participate in the scheme offer exclusive discounts through the Tastecard. It is available as a digital card on smartphones or a physical card the size of a credit card. Tastecard began in 2006 as “tastelondon” before rebranding to include the rest of the UK in 2010. It claims to be the largest dining club in the whole UK, with over 4 million members and more than 7,000 restaurants. These range from commercial to high-end chains, so there is something for every taste. Members spend £600 million at these places each year.

Contact Tastecard on 0843 178 5350 to connect to customer services and speak with the Taste Team. If you are unsure about how to use your Tastecard at a restaurant, call for guidance. Each restaurant might have individual restrictions for Tastecard customers, so you should always check beforehand to avoid any disappointment. The deal will either be 2 meals for the price of 1, or 50% off the overall food bill. Usually, you must call the restaurant to make an advance booking and mention Tastecard. If your membership is about to auto-renew and you do not want to continue as a customer, call to make sure it gets cancelled.

Tastecard Membership

You can register and pay for a Tastecard membership online, or call 0843 178 5351 for assistance on the phone. There are two subscription plans, each with the first month free. The annual membership will cost £79.99. If you choose to pay £6.99 monthly instead, you will only get a digital Tastecard and not a physical one. Both memberships allow you to download and use the Tastecard mobile app. You can buy annual gift memberships for somebody else, currently at a discount of half price. Tastecard Plus

Tastecard Plus or tastecard+ is an optional upgrade for existing Tastecard members. For an additional fee of £24.99 a year, you can access Tastecard Plus offers as well as the Tastecard discounts. The difference is that the original Tastecard is for discounts on dining out, while Tastecard Plus has exclusive discounts on a range of other experiences. This includes money off hotel bookings, group days out at participating attractions, and tickets for theatre, comedy, and music events as well as the cinema. Tastecard partners with The Dining Club Group to offer its discounts to corporate clients.
