Owner Robert Matthams founded the company in 2008 with the intention of maximising resources for transport providers. Carriers running certain routes can match with customers needing deliveries in the area. This is good for the environment because it reduces CO2 emissions. It is also more economical for the business and saves customers up to 75% on delivery costs. Listings

To book a delivery, you will need to create a listing on the website. Transport Providers will then see your listing in the marketplace and can submit a quote. 98% of listings receive at least three quotes. Payments

Payments for Shiply bookings might be a little confusing due to the separate stages. When you accept a quote, you must pay a deposit to secure the booking. There is also a small additional booking fee which will appear at the payment stage. You can pay this by debit card, credit card, or PayPal. Afterwards, you must settle the remaining balance you owe to the transport provider with them. Shiply is not responsible for these payments. Complaints

Shiply do not take any responsibility for the behaviour of your chosen Transport Provider after booking. If there is a problem with anything prior to delivery, contact Shiply on 0844 248 3419 to make a complaint. It could be about the deposit or additional fees, the quality of customer service from Shiply, or problems with their system. Contact your Transport Provider directly regarding delays, direct payment issues, or damage. If items are lost and you cannot resolve this with the delivery company, you should make a police report for theft.
