Nectar is currently the largest loyalty card scheme in the UK. Made up of large partner companies such as BP and Sainsbury’s, the service was founded in 2002, and has grown from its original two companies to 15 – with over 300 online retailers joining the scheme. Some big name brands to join the company include Debenhams and Barclaycard.

To this day, Nectar has over 17 million customers and offer a range of incentives to prospective new customers. With every purchase at participating stores, Nectar card holders will receive points on their cards. This also applies when you buy fuel at participating companies. For every litre of fuel you purchase, you will receive points on your Nectar card.

With nearly all of the companies who use the Nectar Scheme, points can be redeemed in store or on company online websites. If you are planning to redeem your points in store, you must have shopped there within the last 12 months in order to redeem any points on your card. Nectar points do not expire, so customers scan save them over years in order to afford more expensive items at participating stores.

Have been trying customer services for last hour and no reply. Need to change address. System keeps cutting off terrible service. I changed addresses two years ago and telephoned then.

Thank you for this useful information. I have cut my Nectar card into pieces and closed my account following Nectar’s association with the Daily Mail. They have scored a real own goal. I know so many people who are cancelling their Nectar card and refusing to shop with companies that accept Nectar cards.

Why do you not have an email contact? I want to know if it is true that Nectar are now in association with the Daily Mail. If so, I will cancel my card, as I do not want to be associated with this disgusting publication. Please reply.
