Customer Services

Contact MBNA customer services by calling 0843 208 4183. The department can field any enquiries you might have about MBNA products. They can help you to decide on the best credit card for you and guide you through the steps of the application process. If you are uncertain about credit card usage, you can ask questions about this as well. Learn more about your credit report or how to appeal a decision if you were declined for an MBNA credit card. Call them to discuss cashback or Reward Points if you use these. You can also ask about making charity contributions on transfers. Get technical help for Online Card Services.

Account Management

Contact MBNA on 0843 208 4451 to discuss all aspects of managing your account. This includes online services, mobile services, security, contactless payments, and using your card at home and abroad. Call if you would like to go paperless and receive your statements online. Get help with viewing transactions and making changes to your details. You can request assistance with activating cards, adding cardholders and removing them, or applying for a credit limit increase. Call to discuss closing your account and getting your final statement. You might not be able to close it until your balance is £0, including the transfer of refunds.

Credit Card Payments

It is important to make all credit card repayments on time to avoid falling into arrears and damaging your credit rating. There are many ways to make your monthly payments, so call 0843 208 5603 if you want to discuss other options. You can set up Direct Debits, standing orders, cheques, or switch to making one-off payments at your bank or Faster Payments. Make sure you check your statement and try to pay off more than the minimum payment before the due date to help clear your outstanding balance faster. Call MBNA for help if you have been charged extra fees. Get help understanding your interest rates or changing dates.

Specialist Support

Sometimes MBNA customers may need a little extra support. To discuss accessible services like letters in large print, Braille, or audio, call 0843 208 5604.  MBNA customer advocates will treat information about health conditions sensitively and confidentially. The same goes for customers who might be experiencing financial difficulties and need extra help to manage debt. MBNA can offer short settlements on the basis of individual cases. If you are unable to manage your account by yourself, you can request to nominate a person to access and discuss it for you. Family members can also report the passing of an account holder.

Security & Fraud

Call 0843 208 5605 if you need some advice on credit card safety or you suspect that you are the victim of fraud. Online Card Services and mobile, contactless, and chip & PIN payments should all be secure, but you should still contact MBNA if you don’t recognize a transaction on your statement or if your card has gone missing. If they confirm the fraud with you, they can protect your account to prevent further misuse. They will send you a new credit card with a new account number. You can activate this online and then the new account should show in your Online Card Services in a few days. They will send your new PIN separately.

MBNA Complaints

If you are not at all happy with your experience as an MBNA customer, call 0843 208 5606 and register a complaint. You will need to tell them your name, address, contact number, 16-digit card number, what has gone wrong, and what you would like MBNA to do to fix this. They will keep you updated if they require an investigation into your complaint before providing a final response. The FCA set a timescale of 15 days for payment complaints or up to 56 days for other complaints. After this, if you are still unhappy then you can contact the Financial Ombudsman Service. Complain about issues such as misleading promotions or PPI.

Other Ways to Contact MBNA

Support is available from MBNA seven days a week on social media. You can contact MBNA on Facebook or on Twitter between 9am and 8pm on weekdays, and until 5pm on weekends. Remember not to post any personal data publicly. They may ask you to send your name and phone number in a private message. They only offer an online contact form for complaints, but you can e-mail enquiries@mail.mbnaoptions.co.uk. You can also e-mail dataprotectionofficer@mbna.com for GDPR concerns. MBNA does not have a careers website, but you can look for vacancies using job-search sites.
