Making a Return to Dorothy Perkins
There are two ways to return an item to Dorothy Perkins in the event that it is not fit for purpose, faulty, ill-fitting, or if you have been consumed by regret at having bought it and must return it before you are driven mad with guilt.
If the item is unused, unworn and in saleable condition, it can be returned via post within 14 days of receipt, or in-store within 28 days of receipt. Unfortunately, for hygiene reasons, returns cannot be made on pierced jewellery, underwear, swimwear (if the hygiene label has been removed) or cosmetics, if they have been opened or the hygiene seal has been broken. The only exceptions here are if the product is faulty or unfit for purpose.
Shoes, if provided boxed, must be returned in the original box. All barcodes on returned products must be intact when returned, or Dorothy Perkins will be unable to accept them.
Returning to Dorothy Perkins by Post
If you ordered your items online, a freepost returns form will have been included in the parcel. Simply pop on to the Dorothy Perkins site, log in to your account (you will have created one to order the item), and click ‘request a return’. You’ll be assigned a Returns Authorisation Number , which you should write in the space provided on your returns label – if you haven’t got one or have lost yours, you can download another one here. Then seal it up, stick the label on your parcel and post it back within 14 days of having received it.
It is important to ask at the Post Office for a proof of return receipt: with it, your order can be tracked, and it can be used to get your money back in the event the parcel doesn’t make it back to DP HQ. Without one of these, Dorothy Perkins will be unable to process your refund in the event that the package doesn’t arrive, so get one!
You’ll receive an email to let you know your return has been received, and from that point it will normally take 14 days (or up to 28 in unusual conditions) for your refund to finish processing. You’ll be refunded via whichever payment method was used to purchase the items – this includes replacing credit on gift cards and credit cards.
Returning to Dorothy Perkins In-Store
Any Dorothy Perkins customer can return an item in-store, unfortunately excluding those located in department stores. These returns must be made within 28 days of receiving the item, so allow for more time flexibility than a postal return. Make sure to bring along your dispatch note as proof of purchase, or if you bought it in a store, bring along your receipt.
If you bought online, you will also need the card used to pay for the order – if you are not the cardholder for this transaction, they will need to be there for the refund to be processed.
That’s as simple as it is! If you have any questions or problems concerning your return, the Dorothy Perkins Customer Service Team are always available at this number.
